CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL

A DAY AT THE RACES, GLOUCESTSHIRE

THURSDAY 13th MARCH 2025

This is the first time we’ve had Cheltenham on our calendar and we want to do it differently. This is going to be a day for real racing fans. We are not doing fancy hospitality, we want to be in the thick of it, mingling with the St Patrick’s Day crowds and putting our bets on course-side. We will have a table in The Mandarin restaurant as a base for the afternoon, with lunch and afternoon tea served in there, but that is a side-show to the horses. We’re hoping this will be the best of both worlds...

YOUR EVENT INCLUDES

  • 3-course pub lunch

  • Afternoon tea

  • Club Enclosure tickets

  • Car parking

More about the festival...

The Cheltenham Festival, a premier horse racing event, has been a highlight of the National Hunt racing calendar since its inception in 1902. Held annually at Cheltenham Racecourse in Gloucestershire, England, the festival features a series of prestigious races over four days, typically in March.

The festival began as a single-day meeting, known as the National Hunt Meeting, and evolved into a four-day event in 2005. It is renowned for its high-quality racing and attracts top horses, jockeys, and trainers from around the world. The festival's flagship race, the Cheltenham Gold Cup, first run in 1924, is one of the most sought-after prizes in National Hunt racing.

The Cheltenham Festival has grown in prominence over the decades, becoming a major social and sporting event. It is celebrated for its competitive racing, vibrant atmosphere, and significant contributions to the sport's heritage.
